Park Clean Up Day (Earth Day)

Each Spring, neighbors meet at the Wexford Park shelter to assist in cleaning up the Wexford Park. We start at 9:00 a.m. and refreshments are provided. Activities include: Trash pick-up in the park, edging around trees, mulching, raking gravel by the playground, pulling garlic mustard and cleanup in the woods.
Contact Ken Schmidt for more information or if you have other park concerns. 831-3089

Garage Sale

Each year in May, on the Friday and Saturday immediately following Mother's Day weekend, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wexford Homes Association sponsors a neighborhood garage sale. We provide advertising on various Madison websites and place large signs near the entrances to the neighborhood. A list of sale sites is provided to registered participants prior to the sale for distribution to customers. Registration submissions must be received no later than 6:00 p.m. on the Monday of the sale week to provide adequate time for printing the listing. This is a great way to get rid of all the stuff that has been piling up in your house or that your children have outgrown.

Sign-up to be included on the sales listing

Fourth of July

On the fourth of July, the creativeness comes out in colors of red, white and blue when children young and old decorate wagons, tricycles, bikes and themselves with patriotic flags, balloons, and decorations. The parade line starts forming at 9:45 a.m. at the corner of South Woodmont and Sawmill. At 10:00 a.m., with our official police or fire truck escort, we begin to march & ride towards Wexford Park. For those of you who choose not to be in the parade, come out and watch! Once at the park, we enjoy hot dogs, chips and beverages. There are also a variety of games to entertain the children.

Volunteers are always needed! Contact Dick Ihlenfeld by e-mail or phone: 831-5359.

Wexford End-of-Summer Party

Each fall, there is a Neighborhood Potluck and Party at the Wexford Park shelter on the Saturday right after Labor Day. Enjoy one more night in the Park with your friends and neighbors before the snow flies! Share your summer vacation stories along with your garden's surplus.

The event begins at 5:00. You bring a dish to pass as well as chairs or blankets for your family. We provide the grillables (hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, veggie burgers) along with appropriate buns, condiments and non-alcoholic beverages.

Sign up for a "dish to pass" by visiting the Wexford Village Neighbors group page on Facebook. For information, contact Lisa Hofmeister at lrhofmeister@gmail.com or Monica Bear at m.bear@tds.net.
